Last year featured the very first NutritionSheila.com Wellness Reading List and oh baby, it sparked a fire! People from all over and all walks of life found themselves delving into content to enrich their health, happiness and nutrition.
I read the books right along with y'all and got to have incredible conversation about the content and applicability. AMAZING!
But there was a different side to all this. A side that few people talk about. A truth came to the light. Reading is a gateway behavior! You read one book and before you know it you're reading several books. Next thing you know you're a knowledge junkie looking for a nothing wisdom fix.
For me it was in the form of Aubible and printed books. For others it was the Kindle versions. Then there were even those who were quenching their thirst with Kindle, Audible and printed books! Oh my! Totally understandable as the reality outside of books in 2016 was brutal.
But... here's the thing. Knowledge alone is not power. You've got to take action and put it to use if you truly want to see it come to fruition in your life. Diet books are a prime example of this and of optimal recycling material. Millions of diet books are sold every year and yet we're dying in droves from an obesity epidemic.
Back onto the happier, lighter note, recycle those diet books and order up this year's reading list. Put what you learn into action and journal along the way. The more time and energy you put into being all you can be in 2017 the easier it will be to put 2016 to rest. Plus what's not to love about a healthy, happy, well nourished life?
